The fare changes include the following: Proposed 5% fare increase on Metro-North services in CT and C Trail Hartford Line and Shore Line East services, effective September 1, 2025. Proposed 5% fare increase on Metro-North services in CT and C Trail Hartford Line and Shore Line East services, effective July 1, 2026. Proposed changes to Metro-North fare products and policies. At these public hearings, CTDOT will provide information and accept public comments on the proposed fare changes as well as the equity analysis report. The equity analysis evaluates the proposed changes to determine if they will cause a disparate impact to minority persons or a disproportionate burden to people with low incomes, as defined by the CTDOT Title VI Program. The proposed fare changes may be viewed on the Department's website at www.ct.gov/dot/proposedtransit changes. The public comment period will run from June 6 to July 6, 2025. The public hearings will be conducted in-person in Stamford and New Haven and virtually via Zoom.
