A Q&A session will immediately follow the presentation. The purpose of the project is to reduce the number of fatal and serious injury crashes on curves located on locally-owned and maintained roads. Enhanced horizontal curve delineation may be beneficial when: the curve radius is sharp; there is limited sight distance to and around the curve: or there are unexpected geometric features within the curve. such as an intersection or change in the curve radius. Improved hori- zontal curve delineation is recognized nationally as a low-cost proven safety countermeasure. Right-of-way impacts associated with the proposed project are not anticipated. Construction is anticipated to begin Summer 2024. The estimated con- struction cost for this project is approximately $365,000. This project is anticipated to be undertaken with 100% Federal Funds.
