Joe Carfora was raised in East Haven and has lived here ever since. He graduated from East Haven High School, where he starred on the basketball team under legendary coach Frank Crisafi. During his high school career, Joe accrued numerous accolades resulting in a induction into the East Haven Hall of Fame in 2004. After graduating, Joe attended Quinnipiac University where he majored in Science and Marketing.
A small business owner since 1985, Joe owns and operates Carfora Carriers LLC, a petroleum transporter of liquid asphalt and commercial and industrial fuel oils. Joe got involved in politics in 2016 and currently serves as the 3rd district councilman, where he is a member of the Finance Committee and the School Security and Safety Committee. Joe also serves on the East Haven Democratic Town Committee.
