Established by ordinance adopted by the Board of Selectmen, October 23, 1973. Membership increased by ordinance adopted by the Board of Selectmen on June 3, 1974. Alternate members were established by ordinance adopted by the Board of Selectmen on March 16, 1982. Town ordinance provides for the IWC to have seven regular members and three alternates. One member is also a member of and designated b the Conservation Commission; another also serves on and is designated by the Planning and Zoning Commission.
