We are the Town of Old Saybrook's Parks and Recreation Department.
Our Operating Philosophy is to foster the wholesome and beneficial use of leisure by the residents of Old Saybrook through the offering of a comprehensive and interesting program of recreational activities adn the development of quality recreational facilities.
To produce the best possible program for residents, the department acts as a converging agent of all community resource related to recreation. The goal is to approach total community involvement.
The department views itself as a recreational exprerience exposure agency. Program and course offerings are geared to the introductory levels, teaching the basic skills necessary for one to pusue an activity. The department stives to provide opportunities for a wide variety of recreational behaviors.
It is our hope that the activities and services offered will be appealing and financially within the reach of all Old Saybrook residents.
