On what we think was the coldest night of the year so far, a dog was abandoned outside with a little towel. Early Sunday morning a jogger contacted the animal shelter to report finding an abandoned dog near the Branford Community House. We have named this dog Lincoln and he is now receiving care at the Dan Cosgrove Animal Shelter for everything he needs. This dog will need rehabilitation for quite some time so he will not be up for adoption.
