About
Alan Greenwald, MD - It is with bittersweet emotion that I am announcing my retirement from my medical practice as of August 15, 2024. For over 42 years, it has been my great privilege to provide your GI care. You have trusted me to take care of your own and your family's health, and for all of that trust over the years I cannot adequately express my gratitude.
Medicine has changed a great deal over the years, but the one constant I've always enjoyed is the time I spent with my patients talking about your lives, work and family interests. Your sharing that information with me helped me better understand the impact of the medical issues and context of illness in your lives. This sharing has helped me be a better doctor and a better person.
Over the years you have become part of my extended family, and it is important for me to know that my patients will get the best care in the future. I leave confident that Connecticut GI (G.I. Alliance) has the talent and capability to continue to manage your medical needs with professionalism, care and compassion. To ensure continuity and a smooth transition of care, Connecticut GI will continue to store your medical records securely in our electronic health records. Please feel free to contact the New London care center (860-442-0290) and they will be happy to schedule an appointment with one of my exceptionally qualified colleagues.
I wish you all good health
Sincerely,
Alan Greenwald, MD
