CFA’s Urgent Crisis Center (UCC) provides walk-in (no appointment necessary) care to children and teens experiencing an urgent mental health or behavioral crisis, including:
Thoughts of suicide or self-injury
Feelings of depression, anxiety, or hopelessness
Out-of-control behaviors
Substance misuse
Any mental health crisis
CFA’s UCC is not an Emergency Department.
Call 9-1-1 or visit the nearest hospital if a youth needs immediate medical attention or is in immediate danger of hurting themselves or others.
CFA’s UCC offers
Crisis stabilization support
Comprehensive mental health assessments
Short-term medication services (if indicated and urgently needed)
Collaborative safety planning
Connection and coordination with ongoing mental health
This voluntary program requires parent/guardian consent, presence, and participation. Youth involved in a UCC assessment must also assent to services. There are no beds in the UCC; we aim to de-escalate, complete the evaluation, and connect you to services in under 24 hours.
No person shall be excluded from participation in, denied the benefits of, or be otherwise subjected to discrimination in the Agency’s programs or activities on the grounds of race, color, national origin, or disability. Inability to pay for healthcare or childcare services, or the use of Medicare, Medicaid, or the Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP) to pay for healthcare services. Provision will be made to assist clients who are members of national origin minority groups with language differences. Additionally, provision will be made to assist clients who are hearing impaired or have other special needs.
