Notice to MYSTIC FIRE DISTRICT RESIDENTS (Town of Groton side only) TRASH HAULER CHANGE starting July 1, 2024 CWPM will be the new RESIDENTIAL TRASH/RECYCLE COLLECTION COMPANY The Mystic Fire District has contracted with CWPM for Residential Trash and Recycling Services for the Groton side of the Mystic Fire District. CWPM was the low bidder for these services for the next three (3) years replacing Willimantic Waste/Casella. - THERE WILL BE NO CHANGES IN CURRENT SERVICES - ALL CURRENT SERVICES AND PICK-UP SCHEDULES FOR TRASH, RECYCLING, LEAVES WILL REMAIN THE SAME WITH CWPM. NEW TOTES: START USE OF NEW TOTES - JULY 1, 2024 CWPM will be delivering new trash and recycling totes to all residents from June 1, 2024 - June 15, 2024. Please use these AFTER your last June trash pick-up. CURRENT TOTES: PLEASE LEAVE YOUR CURRENT/OLD TOTES AT THE CURB AFTER YOUR LAST PICK-UP the week of 6/24. Willimantic Waste/Casella will be arranging to pick-up their totes after their last scheduled trash pick-up week of June 24, 2024. THIS NOTICE DOES NOT AFFECT THE COMMERCIAL PROPERTIES WITHIN THE DISTRICT. TRASH AND RECYCLABLES WILL BE COLLECTED BY YOUR INDIVIDUAL HAULERS AS BEFORE.
