Bill currently lives in Stonington at Kentford Farm and has a strong interest in home restorations and preparing homes for sale. Bill's recommendations for home staging techniques and recommended repairs prior to sale have proven to move home sales to a successful closing. In 2011 Bill was named “Citizen of the Year” and recognized for his contributions to the Southeastern Connecticut communities by the Chamber of Commerce of Eastern Connecticut. Bill is a strong advocate for improving communities having previously served as an educator and administrator in the Connecticut public school system and as lead legislative liaison for AT&T’s government and municipal affairs. Bill's most recent efforts included securing the necessary State of Connecticut funding for the Mystic Seaport's "Thompson Exhibition Building.
