LEGAL NOTICE The Common Ground Party of Chester will hold its annual meeting, election of officers, and nominating caucus on Tuesday, August 31 at 7pm at 41 Pleasant Street, Chester. The public is welcome. Nominations for new members will be accepted. Prospective new members may simply attend the meeting and express their interest or send an email to the address below. According to party rules, all registered voters of the Town of Chester including registered Democrats and registered Republicans are welcome to join as members and then any member, other than those who are members of the Democratic Town Committee or Republican Town Committee, may vote on any matter. A petitioning candidate for Town Clerk will be presented for approval of the caucus. Nominations will then be accepted from the floor for candidates who wish to be considered to run on the Common Ground Party line in the November 3, 2021 town election for only the following positions: Planning and Zoning Commission (full voting member and Alternate), Library Board of Trustees and Zoning Board of Appeals Alternate.
