About
Lyme is a small, rural community roughly 33 square miles in size with nearly 2,300 residents situated on the Eastern bank of the Connecticut River. More than 50 percent of our land is permanently protected as open space.
The Town of Lyme, founded in 1665, provides a range of services and programs to its residents. These include educational initiatives by the Board of Education, conservation efforts by the Lyme Land Trust, and various town announcements and events.
