Virtual Drug Take Back Event! The Guilford Police Department Prescription Drug Drop Box is available 24/7 for anyone who would like to drop off any unused prescription drugs. In addition, we want to make it convenient for you to get rid of unused prescription drugs during Covid-19 therefore we are offering a Virtual Drug Take Back Event! How Does it Work? If you wish to obtain FREE Deterra Drug Disposal bags, please email Susie White at White.susan@ci.guilford.ct.us. Please include your name, address, phone number and how many Deterra bags you would like. Then we will mail out a Deterra Drug Disposal Bag(s) to your home, or if you wish to obtain the bags a different way, we can work with you to accommodate that. You can then put pill medications, including controlled substances (Schedule Il-V) in the bag(s). The Deterra bags deactivate the pills making them safe to throw away in the household trash. You may also request a free medication lock box to safely store medications at home. While you will be providing some personal information we will not use it for any other purpose besides providing the drug disposal bag. If you prefer, you may call Susie White, Prevention Coordinator for Guilford D.A.Y. at 203-453-8047 to request a bag over the phone. This ad is sponsored by the DFC Support Program funded by the White House I'S WORIH D. Office of National Drug Control Policy (ONDCP), and administered by the CDC and BHcare's Alliance for Prevention & Wellness's mini grant funded through the CT Department of Mental Health & Addiction Services (DMHAS) and the Connecticut State Opioid Response (SOR) to the Opioid Crisis.
