Hello Linda, This summer our dogwood tree's bark is peeling all over. It has a bumper crop of seed balls and the leaves look healthy. The tree is at least 25 years old and it's never done this before. Any thoughts? Thanks for your assistance, - Lee Hi Lee, The dogwood in question is a Kousa Dogwood or Japanese Dogwood. The peeling bark is normal for older Kousa Dogwoods. It is not diseased. As the tree gets older, shades of cream, green, orange, pink and gray are common. You have a beautiful, healthy tree.
